• That parents will be able to take charge of their children's physical development and intellectual stimulation and detect anomalies or difficulties in their development as soon as possible to turn to existing services;
• That children be better prepared socio-affectively and intellectually to start school and that young children in rural areas have better chance at success;
• That the community develops action in villages for children which meets the aspirations of parents including the less fortunate;
• That a viable Cambodian non-governmental organization specialized in the comprehensive development of the young child emerges;
• That innovative education and Early Childhood/Parental Education tools are developed.
The "Education of Parents and Mothers in Rural Cambodia" project continues through the rebroadcasting of the " Krousar ! " television series, the opening of new informal maternal centers in partnership with UNICEF, the continuation of the autonomy process for existing preschools through income-generating activities and the setting up of 30 rice banks to supply these schools with a daily meal.
